I just enjoyed one of Dilworth’s best new spots: Mood House. A Palm Springs-style boutique massage spa geared for the uber-professional looking to unplug. I was transported. From the relaxation room (not your average “waiting room”!), to the meditation room (they even host group meditation/events there!), to the amazing ability of a massage therapist herself, the infrared sauna, to the delicious and hydrating Flow water at the end, I just couldn’t get enough. The aesthetic is clean, crisp, and sleek. My mind felt uncluttered just walking in. My body felt relaxed, peaceful, and at-ease when I left. Cristina, the owner who left the corporate world to fulfill this dream, has done a phenomenal job. I’ve already booked my next appointment. 🙂

Mood House hits 350 members
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 23, 2020) – Mood House hit 350 monthly massage members in less than three months. “We’re floored by the early response!” said Cristina Wilson, founder and owner of Mood House. “Our clients tend to be high performers that believe in regularly investing in self-care so that they can show up the way they want to for their family, career, and life.”
Background: Mood House is a modern massage spa with a Palm Springs vibe located in Dilworth. It opened in mid-January. The 4,000-square-foot space includes seven massage rooms, a meditation room, and an infrared sauna.
The space is designed by Perry Poole Architects and built by Dressler Construction. Jay Mitchener from Thrift Commercial Real Estate served as the tenant’s representative.
“In my past, I’ve struggled to carve out one hour each month to escape, relax, and recharge. I felt like I had to justify it. Why? I hate how I convinced myself that my health wasn’t worth an hour. The truth is that I’m less effective — as a businesswoman, as a leader, as a parent — if I don’t create time for myself,” said Wilson. “I kept searching for a place I could go to recharge my mind and body, somewhere with a community that I could call home. I couldn’t find it, so I quit my job and built Mood House.”
Membership options: $85/mo for one 50-minute signature massage per month (value $105) or $115/mo for one 80-minute signature massage per month (value $135). Both membership options include special pricing on infrared sauna sessions and meditation events — and it’s easy to gift, share, or roll over unused massages. A la carte pricing is also available for non-members (you don’t have to be a member to book).
