Open Streets 704 – THIS SUNDAY (April 28th)!
Here’s an opportunity to explore a few of my favorite neighborhoods outside of Dilworth! Roughly four miles of streets between NODA and Plaza Midwood will be closed off this Sunday, April 28th from 1 PM to 5 PM for Open Streets 704. This semi-annual event encourages car(e) free living and walkability. Charlotte residents are welcome to walk, run, bike, skate, or scoot – the street is yours to travel as you please! Along the route, there are plenty of chances to enjoy music, art, games, crafts, and demonstrations. The activity list is endless – street soccer, life-size jenga, yoga, zumba…truly something for everyone! Here’s a guide to the fun:

👥💛Yellow on North Davidson Street is the designated Family Zone, featuring activities and games for all ages. Bring your furry friend to the pop-up dog park. 🌿💚Green on North Davidson Street showcases the Green Zone where participants can learn about local plants and wildlife. 🙌💙Blue throughout the Belmont neighborhood outlines the Wellness Zone. Discover healthy habits or take an exercise class. 🎨❤️Red throughout Plaza Midwood marks the Arts & Science Zone. Feel inspired by dance performances and artist demonstrations.
