Summer Day in Dilworth
A summer day in Dilworth means three things: the coffee shops are icing down the lattes, the parks are bustling with activity, and happy hour starts a little earlier than usual.
I start my summer mornings on Park Road at either Not Just Coffee (order the nitro cold brew!) or Green Juice (order the Farmer’s Delight).

If you want to break a sweat, take a yoga class at Yoga One or Be Yoga Dilworth. Both studios offer expert instruction and mindful mediation.
Another mid-morning option is boutique shopping on East Boulevard. Most stores open around 10 AM, so shopping early means you see the best selection of merchandise. Some of my favorites include Abode, The Argyle Alligator, Lark & Key, McKenzie Clair, The Milkway, Paper Skyscraper, Pour Olive, Storey Home, Theory Design Studio, and Vestique.

Grab lunch at The People’s Market (the Dilworth BLT is a must-try) and take a picnic to Freedom Park. After lunch, stroll around the lake or pick up a game of beach volleyball.

Enjoy a glass of wine for happy hour at Dilworth Tasting Room, Foxcroft Wine, or Bonterra Wine. Dilworth Neighborhood Grill has a huge covered patio if you’d like a more casual place to sip and sit.

The ideal summer day in Dilworth ends with dinner on the patio of Kid Cashew. I recommend starting with the spicy feta spread then ordering small plates to share.
