Open Streets 704 This Weekend
One of our favorite Charlotte events is back this weekend: Open Steets 704!
If you’re not familiar with this unique city experience, every few months on Sunday afternoons a certain section of the city streets are blocked off for pedestrians, bikes, vendors, etc. to enjoy — and not just the sidewalks, we get to take over the ENTIRE street!
In an effort to encourage public health, active transportation (walking, biking, scooting!) and community building, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of North Carolina along with a host of other partners have come together to present these Open Streets events to the Charlotte community.
This will be the sixth Open Streets in Charlotte and the route this Sunday will cover four miles from West End to South End (and all the cool spots in between)! So grab your bike, rent a scooter or simply pound the pavement and meet new people along with local businesses setup all along the route!
Food vendors, along with an array of other physical fitness based companies will be scattered along the route so be sure to stop by and pick up some fun swag.
